Alpine Thunder Mission Statement

Alpine Thunder will celebrate it’s 22nd anniversary in 2026. Our focus and mission has always been to provide a greater awareness of German culture through German, Austrian, and Swiss folk and pop music. Getting the audience involved has always been key to a successful performance.

We have achieved this mission through our development of a rich and a diversified music library used for a variety of occasions and venues. Our main influence is the traditional and current folk and pop music scene in and around Munich, Bavaria, and the alpine regions in general. However, our roots are in the city of Cologne, Germany, and love to perform folk/pop music from this area as well as other areas throughout Germany.

In addition to our festivals and restaurant performances throughout the year, we are proud to participate in cultural education programs at various levels from senior centers to libraries and the public school system.
